I have been a GP partner in central Derby for over 21 years. In day-to-day inner-city practice, I see first-hand the health impact of social inequalities and depravation. The need for high quality, evidence-based, Lifestyle Medicine input has never been greater in the communities I serve.

I obtained the Diploma in lifestyle medicine in 2022. The additional knowledge has enabled me to motivate patients to make behaviour changes and reduce their risk of chronic disease, whilst improving both physical, and psychological wellbeing.

I believe it is essential to lead by example and spend time promoting health and wellbeing within the workplace. We are a RCGP ‘Active Practice’ affiliated with our local Parkrun.

I am delighted to be part of the BSLM team.

I am married to a Consultant Intensivist (Iron Man Triathlete!), we have 3 children, and when not at work, I will usually be found with family and friends, running, or horse riding in the Derbyshire hills.
